Deep ruby red that refines over the years into a bright orange. Slightly ethereal bouquet of extraordinary elegance with hints of tar, undergrowth, tobacco, violet and vanilla; dry but at the same time soft, full and harmonious flavour, firm and viperine backbone, consistent and aristocratic texture; full breed.
Considered one of the greatest expressions of Italian winemaking, Brunello di Montalcino is produced exclusively with grapes from the homonymous vine, which represents a variety of Sangiovese Grosso. Brunello di Montalcino from Azienda Agraria Lisini stands out for its truly superior characteristics obtained through continuous care of the vines, cultivated with traditional methods and excluding any forcing practice, careful selection and thinning of the bunches during growth and an accurate selection of the grapes during the harvest. All this, combined with the most modern winemaking methods, ensures an exceptional level even with seasonal trends that are not entirely favorable.
Wine Spectator Review:
Leafy underbrush, earth and dusty mineral notes frame the core of cherry and raspberry flavors in this succulent red, which is supple, with a layer of chewy, chalky tannins coating the finish. Balanced overall, with a long, cherry-infused aftertaste. Best from 2027 through 2043. 3,290 cases made, 1,000 cases imported.
