This classic red blend from the South of France features a deep garnet color, notes of raspberry, black pepper and strawberry. Very powerful nose, fresh, vibrant. Full and complex with aromas of strawberries and raspberries and also a touch of pretty herbaceousness.
Blend: 50% Syrah, 40% Grenache, 10% Merlot.
Languedoc is one of the most exciting regions in France right now. Château Puech-Haut is a prestigious estate in the eastern Languedoc producing top quality wines for very reasonable prices. The wines from Puech-Haut are rich and lush but also show the earthy and mineral character of the rocky clay-limestone soils of the region. They benefit from both its proximity to the Mediterranean and the rugged, mountainous interior.
James Suckling Review:
Lovely nose of cherries, blackberries, cassis and sweet spices. Medium-bodied with soft tannins. Juicy, silky and fruit-driven.
