The St. Michael-Eppan Sanct Vanentin Pinot Grigio appears a deep straw yellow color in the glass. On the nose, fruity aromas of apple, pear, fine vanilla, toasted white bread and hazelnut lead to a palate that is strong in character, creamy, full-bodied, with pleasant acidity and smoky nuances.
A true all-rounder that pairs well with both fish and red meat yet is also a perfect match for risotto with herb pesto.
Sanct Valentin Pinot Grigio was first produced in 1986 when for the first time, after selecting the first grapes from chosen vineyards, it was vinified in small wooden barrels. The expressive Sanct Valentin Pinot Grigio is highly appreciated with its smoothly integrated acidity, strength and fullness. It is one of Italy’s most gifted Pinot Grigio wines and promises an excellent drinking experience even after many years of ageing.

The St. Michael-Eppan 2021 Alto Adige Pinot Grigio Sanct Valentin has aromas of pineapple, grapefruit, gooseberry, a dusting of white pepper, waxy notes, petrol, honeycomb and stewed lemon. There is something that reminds me of acrylic crayon. The medium-lean mouthfeel ends with raw honey. This Pinot Grigio sees 11 months in oak and six months in cement. Anticipated Maturity: 2023-2027
