In the glass, the wine offers a beautiful bright straw yellow color with hint of gold. The bouquet is broad, intense and complex with a predominance of aromatic herbs. A hint of anise follows, accompanied by a citrus background. Floral sensations of broom alternating with fruity ones of yellow peach complete the nose. Full-bodied, long and persistent on the palate with a tasty almond finish.
The Gatti Marco farm was founded in 1998 with a horticultural and viticultural production focus and then also became a wine producer in 2001. It is located at 320 meters above sea level in Cerreto d'Esi, a town in the Marche hinterland on the slopes of Mount S.Vicino. It is precisely these mountains that create an ideal microclimate for the production of grapes and therefore of quality wine.
The Gatti Marco farm cultivates over 7 hectares of specialized vineyards and has a cellar with a capacity of over 500 hectoliters of wine.
This Verdicchio di Matelica "Villa Marilla" originates from the homonymous grapes grown in a single parcel, characterized by a subsoil mainly rich in potassium and exposed to both east and south. The grapes obtained by destemming the bunches are softly pressed, and the must ferments in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature. We then proceed with the refinement, in which the wine remains for a semester on the fine lees to rest, always in steel containers.
