The La Vieille Ferme Rouge appears a pretty limpid-purple color, with violet undertones in the glass. The nose reveals a seductive aromatic bouquet with notes of red fruit such as blackcurrants and blueberries mixed with notes of leather and violet. The palate is full of freshness and well balanced with aromas of very ripe fruit, pepper and elderberries with very soft tannins giving this wine great drinkability.
A blend of Carignan, Cinsault, Grenache, and Syrah
Each grape variety is harvested and vinified separately in order to respect the maturity of each varietal. The harvest date is determined by analysis and tasting the berries. Upon arrival in the cellar, the grapes are destemmed and crushed. The extraction is done during fermentation in cement tanks with pumping over.
