Medium intensity, dark red colored wine with a nice shining. Delicate but complex nose of black fruits with a hint of sweet spices and licorice. Fresh and fruity mouth with a well present but nicely rounded tannic structure, alcohol and fruits merge with harmony to give fullness and generosity, with a return of freshness at the end of the mouth.
This enticing, mellow and full-bodied wine will perfectly harmonize with red meat (thick rare T-bone steak or lamb shoulder) and more generally with all flesh and blood meal.
60% Grenache (vines between 45 and 50 years old), 40% Shiraz (14 year-old vines). Ageing for about 12 months in concrete tanks.
Decanted Review:
Lavender and anise on the nose, very Provençal aromatics. Medium-bodied, quite soft on the palate, with slender tannins. Good sense of ripeness, the alcohol is gently warming. Good length, and otherwise very well balanced.
