Our signature single malt, The Original, has been reimagined. Now 12 years old, it's smoother and more delicious than ever. Aged in bourbon casks, it absorbs a wealth of flavours over those twelve years, resulting in a whisky that greets you with citrus notes and captivates with layered complexity.
At Glenmorangie, we are constantly embarking on new sensory journeys, yet we always come home to The Original.
On the nose, citrus and ripening peaches are balanced by vanilla softness. On the palate, vanilla emerges, then gives way to a burst of flowery fruitiness. The surprisingly lingering aftertaste, is bursting with almond, coconut and a touch of maple syrup. Truly delicious!
Whisky Advocate Review:
The new Original, changed from 10 to 12 years old, stands tall with fresh ripe orange and peach fruitiness on the nose, then honey, vanilla cream, wood spice, and exotic flora notes. The palate revolves around lemon, vanilla, apricot, peach, and orange, plus cinnamon and banana bread. The ripeness of the fruit and the creaminess stand out above the floral and vanilla elements of the old 10 year old.
