The 2022 vintage was epic for Pinot Noir here along the Northern California coast. They mostly avoided dramatic heat spikes and had a lovely late August and early September. While it was a low-yielding vintage, the fruit that was there was fully mature with a great blend of forest aromas and a mélange of different wild fruits. We find the wine to be exceptionally food friendly and versatile.
A blend of Sonoma, Mendocino, and Marin Counties. Many of the vineyards included in this bottling are used for luxury vineyard designate wines and all were created with the same dedication and craft with which all of BloodRoot's wines are made.
