Woodford Reserve, the Presenting Sponsor of the Kentucky Derby honors “The Greatest Two Minutes in Sports” with the release of the 2025 commemorative Derby bottle.

This year’s artist, Humberto Lahera, was born and raised in Cuba and studied at the El Alba Academy of Fine Arts, eventually becoming a professor there. He moved to the U.S. in 2022 and has called Louisville, Kentucky home since. The painting that was selected for this year’s Derby bottle label is called “Carrera Dinamica,” which translates to “Dynamic Race,” showing a horse leaping out of an explosion of rose petals. 

Heavy with rich dried fruit, hints of mint and oranges covered with a dusting of cocoa. Faint vanilla and tobacco spice.  Rich, chewy, rounded and smooth, with complex citrus, cinnamon and cocoa. Toffee, caramel, chocolate and spice notes abound.  Silky smooth, almost creamy at first with a long, warm satisfying tail.

The art of making fine bourbon first took place on the site of the Woodford Reserve Distillery, a National Historic Landmark, in 1812.
