The company’s flagship selection, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. An elegant, intense wine of great structure that contributes to its aging over time.
Wine Advocate Review:
Here is Tommaso Cavalli's flagship wine. The 2012 Cavalli is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Petit Verdot and 15% Cabernet Franc. As is to be expected of this challenging vintage, the wine is not as smooth or forthcoming compared to the lovely 2011 vintage or the spectacular 2010 edition. But it does show lots of personality and territory-driven typicity. It recalls the wild and beautiful flavors of Tuscany. There are Mediterranean herbs and dried oregano followed by Morello cherry, dark tobacco, black truffle, flint and barbecue smoke. Anticipated Maturity: 2016-2028
