Domaine de Pepouy is located in Mauleon d’Armagnac in the heart of the Bas Armagnac region of Gascony in Southwest France. The estate was established in the 17th century by the Piffard Familly, who are still keepers of this beautiful property. Today, the domaine is managed by Frederic Piffard, who sustainably farms 52 hectares of vineyards whose grapes are used to produce world-class Armagnac and still wines under the Cotes de Gascogne IGP.
Domaine de Pepouy’s 100% Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from two plots grown on sandy, boulbenes soil. This is a fresh and lively white offering mouthwatering aromas of citrus-kissed stone fruits with accents of white flowers. The palate is bright and vibrant with flavors of white peach and apricot mixed with hints of lemon zest. Beautiful acidity ferries those fruits toward a lovely finish that is dry and crisp. Perfectly delicious on its own, though this blanc will work wonderfully with a variety of hors d'oeuvres.
