Deep crimson with a soft rim. The nose has rich aromas of sweet, ripe cassis and blackberry. The palate is firm and dense with chewy sweet tannins filled out with pure fruit, and oak overtones. A big, full-bodied, balanced wine with a long finish.
We are a boutique producer, making high quality wines in limited amounts. We wish to conserve the indigenous grape varietals of Anatolia and Thrace which are suitable to winemaking, and introduce them to rest of the world and to turn international varietals being grown at various micro climates of Turkey into quality wine.
K2 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon , Cabernet Franc , Merlot and Petit Verdot varieties grown in our Serez vineyard in Kaynaklar – İzmir that lies at 235 metres elevation. Fermented with native yeast only, it is barrel aged for 12 months in French oak barrels of 225 liters, and bottle aged for at least 6 months before release.
