These soleras were previously owned by Pedro Domecq, a firm that traces its roots back to 1725, when an Irishman called Patrick Murphy arrived in Jerez with designs on entering the wine trade. The bodega that he established in 1730 eventually came to be known as Pedro Domecq. After Domecq folded in 2005, their parent company, Beam Global, sold off the majority of their assets, including some of the oldest and most treasured soleras in existence. These four VORS soleras were purchased by Bodegas Osborne, another tri-centenary firm, in 2008.
