In 1964, our namesake, Uriel J. Nielson, defied the odds and planted Santa Barbara County’s first
commercial vineyard. We carry on Nielson’s pioneering spirit today by sourcing fruit from Santa
Barbara County, where we first started, and from Monterey County, to craft wines that embody the
lifestyle and flavor of California’s Central Coast.
