The Mettler Petite Sirah stays true to its varietal heritage with a deep and inky purple color, velvety mouth feel with aromas of dark berries and plum, with hints of pepper and honey on the finish. Well integrated tannins create a bold backdrop for the lush texture that carries the flavors through the lingering finish.

The vineyards for the Mettler Petite Sirah are grown in the Mokelumne River sub-appellation. Referred to by some as “Old Lodi” and is known for its well-drained, sandy soils. Our vineyards are certified through the Lodi Rules sustainability program.

Wine Enthusiast Review:
This wine is concentrated with aromas of blackberry, clove, toasty oak, violets and earth on the nose. The flavors on the palate are mulberry, black currant, pink grapefruit zest, dried herbs transmuting into tobacco leaf, espresso and grippy tannins. Decant for an hour and enjoy with grilled meats. -T.P.
