The Amontillado Solera consists of 21 casks which are aged in Manuel Cuevas Jurado’s bodegas in “Calle Trabajadero” (Trabajadero St.) in Sanlúcar de Barrameda. Ancient gold in color, this wine has a wildly aromatic bouquet, reminiscent of salted hazelnuts and caramelized orange peel representing a classic Amontillado from Sanlúcar. Gently roasted hazelnuts come forward on the palate buoyed by an attractive acidity. This wine is celebrated for its remarkable finesse and elegance.
Serve with tapas or to accompany consommés, foie-gras, cured meats, matured cheeses and artichokes. Perfect with a variety of spicy oriental recipes.

James Suckling Review:
Punchy and tangy nose with subtle caramel, pecans, dried papaya and roasted sweet potato on top of the briny sourdough character. Saline and bone-dry on the palate with plenty of dried fruit and gingerbread to the center palate. Long and intense, but quite textured for Amontillado. Drink now.
