Superbly concentrated with aromas of blackcurrants, brambles and blackberries and a delicious jammy character. It is well structured with richness and good density. Spices linger on the long finish.
97% Syrah, 3% Viognier aged for 18 months in 15% new barrels (228l and 400l).
Wine Advocate Review:
A blend of several parcels, including bits of Rozier and Fongeant, François et Fils's medium-bodied 2019 Côte Rôtie features luscious blueberry and cherry fruit, a slight herbal element and a long, softly tannic finish with hints of espresso and spice. It's not about richness or power but balance and finesse. Anticipated Maturity: 2022-2030
