The Esporao Reserva Red appears an intense ruby color in the glass. The nose opens with blackberry aromas followed by flavors of cocoa, dark chocolate, licorice and a hint of black pepper on the palate.
A blend of Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez, Syrah, Trincadeira, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Touriga Franca
The first wine made by Esporão in 1985. A classic obtained exclusively from our organic grapes. The diversity of Herdade do Esporão, together with the different characteristics of the grape varieties, the soils, the maturity of the vines and the character of those who make this wine consistently over the years, results in a rich, intense but always harmonious wine. Label illustrated by Abel Mota.
Wine Enthusiast Review (Best Buy):
The wine is structured with some firm tannins and a youthful texture. It is dense, with many layers of fruit, acidity and with a dry core. Age this impressive wine until 2024, when it will have softened into a powerful, generous wine. -R.V.
