A blend of 75% Grenache and 25% Syrah with a beautiful deep red color. The nos shows beautiful red fruits including loganberry and raspberry. The palate is well defined and spicy with fine well integrated tannins, juicy strawberry flavors, black olive tapenade, and smoked meats. It all but screams to be paired with umami-rich foods such as brisket or roasted mushrooms.
Most of the vineyard is located in the upper part of the appellation, on the north and west slopes of the Dentelles de Montmirail massif, above the village of Gigondas, at an altitude of around 400 meters. These plots installed on terraces constitute islands in the middle of the woods, thus promoting natural exchanges between the different species and the grape berries. The terroir, made of marl, brings notes of sweet spices (cinnamon, cloves) to the wines.
