Sourced from the neighboring villages of Pouilly-Fuissé. Nice yeast and baked bread notes on the nose. This is a deliciously, fruity and rich Crémant. Aromas and flavors of baked bread, apples, and minerals with a vibrant acidity on a medium body. The mouth filling bubbles are fine and persistent, and this wine finishes crisp and clean. Serve as an aperitif or pair with sushi, smoked fish, or fried chicken.
The wines of Claude Manciat are named in honor of Marie-Pierre Manciat’s (Domaine Manciat-Poncet) father and Grandfather. The domaine is in Chaintré ,and Marie-Pierre represents the 5th generation of vignerons in her family. There are 23 total hectares spread out among 5 villages. The domaine is meticulously run with the utmost focus on bringing in perfect fruit. The domaine practices sustainable viticulture. The yields are routinely 20-30 percent lower than what is allowed in each given appellation, allowing Marie-Pierre to craft wines that are rich and powerful while remaining focused, with an emphasis on the calcaire-rich soils of each terroir. These wines represent absolutely great value and quality.
