An attractive, very pale gold hue with clean, brilliant green glints. Very aromatic on the nose revealing tropical fruit, citrus fruit with floral hints of box hedge and broom. Fresh and vivid on the entry to the palate, well balanced with a long flavoursome finish.
Château Marjosse is a historical property located 14 km South of Saint Emilion, first built in 1782. It is surrounded by 40 acres of vineyards which sit on exceptional clay and limestone soils. Winemaker Pierre Lurton, born and raised in a neighbouring château, bought the property piece by piece, starting in 1991, and has been producing widely-acclaimed and sensibly-priced reds and whites since then.
Wine Advocate Review:
The 2023 Marjosse Blanc offers up aromas of white fruits, spring flowers and lemon oil intertwined with exotic notes, followed by a medium-bodied, juicy and balanced, incisive and round palate, concluding with a mouthwatering, saline finish. This well-crafted white from Bordeaux, a blend of 38% Sauvignon Blanc, 52% Sémillon, 5% Sauvignon Gris and 5% Muscadelle, punches above its weight, offering a level of quality and complexity that belies its price point.
