Complex and elegant, with power and breadth. The glass displays a deep ruby color with a kiss of purple at the rim. Aromas are led by a dark-cherry note cradled in graphite, along with lilac and tobacco. The mouthfeel is rich and seductive, with excellent acidity and gentle tannins leading into a long finish. One of the best possible introductions to Right Bank Bordeaux.
Wine Advocate Review:
The deep garnet-purple colored 2018 Jura-Plaisance features baked blackberries, kirsch and Black Forest cake with hints of damp earth and spice cake. The palate is medium to full-bodied with loads of fragrant fruit and a plush texture, finishing long and spicy.
