Blangè represents the beauty that native Piedmontese white varietals express in a bottle. A wine, which the Ceretto family believes has “defined an era,” the Blangè revolutionized winemaking in the Langhe—a region previously predominantly devoted to red wine production.

Grown in a highly distinctive region known as the Roero, the Ceretto family’s objective is to improve the varietal recognition of Arneis on the world stage. 

Blangè combines organic practices in the vineyard with a modern style of winemaking. Considered a still white wine, Blangè is made in a unique manner. A natural level of dissolved CO2 is left in the wine upon bottling to present a light spritz upon opening. This “spritz” of CO2 is endogenous, being produced naturally by the yeast during the alcoholic fermentation. By cooling the tanks to 0 degrees, fermentation is stopped, a slight pressure (below 0.5 bar) is retained and 4–5 grams of residual sugar is left per liter.

Fruit-forward with clean minerality and a balanced freshness on the palate, versatility is the trademark of Ceretto’s Arneis. Enjoyable with a wide variety of food and on its own by the glass, the 2021 Blangé exhibits enjoyable notes of green apple, ripe peach and Bartlett pear.
