The nose is precise, expressive and reminiscent of lemon, tangerine, orange and exotic citrus zest backed by strong stony minerality, characteristic for the variety. This unoaked dry white wine is weighty on the palate and its heft and zingy acidity make this wine a refreshing mouthful that lingers on pleasurably.
Sip on its own or with a variety of fish and seafood dishes and white meats accompanied by light sauces.
Areti is skilfully produced from the Assyrtiko variety cultivated in the Estate’s calcareous and loamy soils in a region called Ampelia. Once the grapes are crushed, the juice is fermented in stainless steel tanks and allowed to rest on the fine lees for several months. It has a pretty bright blond, greenish colour. Chill well and serve at 12°C or lay it down for up to 10 years.
