Pours a resplendent deep purple in the glass. The wine possesses a luscious nose of black plum, kirsch and raspberries tinged with hints of baking spice. The medium-bodied palate showcases loads of dark red and black stone and berry fruits accented with notes of bittersweet chocolate and black pepper. These flavors are supported by a fresh acidity and soft, refined tannins which help guide the wine to its long and complex finish. An excellent pairing for pappardelle coated in a traditional Bolognese sauce or lamb shawarma served over Middle Eastern-spiced rice with toasted almonds.
