Alexander winery, founded by winemaker Yoram Shalom in Tel-Aviv in 1996, was relocated to Beit Yitzhak, a Moshav in Hefer Valley. It began as a small family venture but grew into a successful boutique winery. Since 2006 the winery products are Kosher and in 2007 it became under the Kosher supervision of “Beit Joseph”.
Amarolo from the Alexander the Great series was inspired by the Italian Amarone and is a special blend consisting of 5 varieties of different grapes grown in the Ben Zimra vineyard.
80% Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot, 5% Grenache, 5% Mourvedre
The wine is aged for 40 months in new and old oak barrels.
