Deep ruby red in colour with violet highlights. Intensely fruity and fresh with aroma of cherry, plum and sour cherry. Smooth and mineral on the palate, featuring a good structure with nicely balanced tannins.
Made from 100% sangiovese grapes coming from different vineyards located on the south-east/west side of Montalcino, at altitudes varying from 250 to 400 m MSL. The southeast soils are made up of sandy loam, with limestone plates and plenty of heavy stone. The wine ages for several months in French and Slavonian oak barrels, and in bottle.
Wine Advocate Review:
Talenti's easy and approachable 2018 Rosso di Montalcino shows Sangiovese purity with a fresh, mid-weight approach. This is a well-priced category of red wine from Tuscany that shows all the right characteristics—acidity, mild tannins and bright primary fruit—with the natural versatility to pair with pizza, your favorite pasta dish or a simple ham and cheese sandwich.
