The Oban Aged 14 Years opens with opens with aromas of fresh oranges, lemons, and pears, with a hint of salt and peat. The palate shows notes of dried fig, spice, and a smoked malt dryness followed by a finish is long, smooth, and oaky sweet with a grain of salt.
Built by brothers Hugh and John Stevenson, Oban whisky is inextricably bound to its environment. Our water flows in from a loch three miles away. Our barley travels from Speyside. The distillery came first and a town rose up around it.
We sit at the portal between the West Highlands and the Hebrides Islands, a location renowned for its temperate climate and rugged beauty.
We’re one of the smallest scotch distilleries.
Each bottle comes from two stills. You can bet we take very good care of both.
