Product Details
With cherry and spice notes, this Morgon pairs beautifully with grilled red meats, poultry and goat cheese. The wine is full and harmonious in color, roundness and structure, evoking aromas of ripe red fruits.
“Cinq Terres” is a blend of five different vineyards: the elegance of the Chollets, the fruit and roundness of the Brye, the powerful character of the Terrains Rouges, the lightness of the Aiguais, and the minerality of the Clachet. These vineayards are selected to produce a wine that is balanced and emblematic of the famous Morgon terroir. Bush vines for this wine are planted in a mix of schist and pink granite soils and are on average 55 years old. All the Vieux Bourg wines are certified HVE Sustainable as of 2020.
The grapes were harvested by hand and then partially de-stemmed. They then underwent a long fermentation with soft extraction. Aging took place in stainless steel tanks for nine months before bottling.
