Vibrant, high-pitched citrus fruit and floral scents show an intense mineral aspect. Taut and stony on entry, then rounder in the middle, offering fresh orange and green apple flavors and a touch of fennel. Smoothly combines power and finesse, finishing with very good focus and a mineral accent.
Albariño de Fefiñanes is the winery's flagship wine. In line with the century-old winemaking tradition at Fefiñanes Manor House, jeweller, master craftsman in jet and designer Enrique Mayer based in Santiago de Compostela, designed the label back in 1928. A year later, in 1929, our wine won an award at the 1929-30 edition of the Barcelona International Trade Fair. A truly pioneering wine.
Wine Advocate Review:
The textbook 2023 Albariño de Fefiñanes has an expressive varietal nose of white flowers, fruit and herbs. It has good ripeness and development of aromas and flavors, 13% alcohol and balancing acidity. It finishes with a faint bitter twist. Drink 2024-2028.
