The Meañesa firm, located in the heart of the Salnés Valley, presents Genio y Figura Albariño 2017 , one of the latest vintages of its youngest white, which, despite its current profile, keeps the essence of the Rías Baixas tradition intact.
The very name of this white, inspired by the popular saying “Genius and figure until the grave”, clearly reveals the philosophy of the firm, founded in 2000 by the brothers Robustiano and Baldomero Fariña : getting the most out of their vineyards to express, through its wines, all the flavor of the most Atlantic Galicia. And in good faith they achieve it with this Genio y Figura Albariño 2017 that the Club brings them.
A manual selection of Albariño grapes from the youngest vineyards that the winery works in the best area of the DO Rías Baixas make up this white, whose production process included pneumatic pressing of the grapes, cold racking and a spontaneous alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature (between 12 and 15 ºC). Due to its citrus aroma and fresh mouthfeel, Genio y Figura Albariño 2017 is perfect to enjoy by the glass or with meals that include seafood (grilled or cooked), steamed mollusks (clams, cockles, razor clams) or any type of fish.
