The Duo de Conseillante 2020 has a very intense color. On the first nose, aromas of blackberries and blackcurrant give way to some spicy notes. The mouth is full of texture with present but very silky tannins. This Duo is one of the best ever produced.
90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc aged for 14 months 50% new barrels, 50% one year old barrels.
Vinous Review:
The 2020 Duo de Conseillante is a lovely second wine. Vibrant, floral and juicy the Duo is everything a second wine should be. Bright red and blue fruit and lavender are nicely delineated in this mid-weight, nuanced Pomerol. This is an especially easygoing style. Drink it over the next decade.
