This wine presents a nice golden color with a hint of green. It is very fruity with citrus notes (lemon, grapefruit), showing also ripe fruits tastes (apricot, pear).
Well balanced, fresh and yet rich on the palate. With time, this wine will gain length and density.
Located in the village of Viviers, in the Eastern part of the Chablis appellation, Domaine de Biéville was planted in the 70’s by Jean-Jacques Moreau and represents a superficy of 45 hectares all in one piece, unique to be seen in Burgundy.
The decision to plant such an important vineyard was justified by a great exposure South / South East equal to some Premiers Crus one as well as a ground elevation favouring a tempered climate combined with a soil composed by former truffle grounds.
40 years later, and proud of its old vines, the Chablis wines from Domaine de Biéville express remarkable balance, suppleness and fatness in mouth.
