Please Note: This is a wine from The Jura region of France. Traditionally they may be aged oxidatively and be somewhat funky. It is an intentional style not a wine flaw.
The Kimmeridgian soil is perfectly suited to the Chardonnay grape variety. It is the same type of soil as the Chablis vineyard. The selection is that of the Chardonnay variety of the Rouget brothers, descendants of the ampelographer Charles Rouget. After controlling the fermentation temperatures in vats, the wine is aged for one year in oak barrels.
