It was Catholic missionaries in South America who developed winegrowing there. The use of wine then spread with the Hispanicisation of the population and the efforts of French, German and Italian settlers. Tannat, Casa Magrez’s main grape variety, gives excellent results in this region, which is influenced by the Atlantic Ocean, but has warmer summers.

I have own vineyards for over forty years. I meant to produce this outstanding micro cuvee from high quality terroirs, using traditional winemaking methods. Grapes are destemmed and selected berry by berry. The wine is made from 80% Tannat, 12% Merlot, and 8% Cabernet Franc, and aged for 14 months in the finest French oak barrels.
