The soil is the typical soil of Serralunga d’Alba, very rich in microelements, therefore these vineyards originate wines that express great character, with pronounced acidity and flavor. The color is dark ruby-red with purple highlights; nose brimming over with leather, black licorice, and blackberry. This Barbera d’Alba starts out on the palate providing a warm feeling of volume and body, with the fruit blending marvelously with the soft tannins and the acidity, while its finish is long and savory.
Wine Spectator Review:
Ripe and packed with plum, cherry, earth, iron, eucalyptus and leafy tobacco flavors. Delivers dry, dusty tannins that exert themselves on the finish, yet this maintains an impression of cherry and strawberry fruit. Best from 2026 through 2043. 3,000 cases made, 350 cases imported.
