Chateau de Galilee is the fruition of a dream of Yossi Ben Odis - the most experienced sommelier in Israel. As a 12 year old boy, Yossi worked in a winery’s warehouse to finance horseback riding - his passion at the time. Yossi dreamed of a wine series of his own that would encourage wine production in the Galilee and would create more jobs in northern Israel.
Today, Chateau de Galilee wines are made from quality grapes which they grow and manually harvest from Galilee-based vineyards.
90% Cabernet sauvignon, 10% Merlot manually harvested grapes from Kerem Ben Zimra and Alma vineyards in the upper Galilee. Balanced, deep color, medium-bodied. Aged 12 months in french oak barrels.
