The wine opens with seductive dark fruit and spice and continues through a velvety mid-palate that maintains its balance with light tannins and acidity at the finish.
The Russian River Valley Pinot Noir was grown on seven different estate Pinot vineyards. The sites range from quiet rolling hills to steep and cold hillside plantings. This diverse combination adds distinct elements from each site and creates a complex wine with structure and grace.
Balletto’s Pinot is exclusively fermented with indigenous yeast in small, six-ton open top tanks and aged in French oak barrels. New oak is used sparingly in order to enhance the wine, not dominate it. The result is a serious Pinot Noir with depth, structure and finesse.
